BSREA at Pre-Budget Discussion with National Board of Revenue (NBR)

The Bangladesh Sustainable and Renewable Energy Association (BSREA) actively participated in the Pre-Budget Discussion organized by the National Board of Revenue (NBR) for the upcoming fiscal year.

During the session, BSREA representatives highlighted the current state of Bangladesh’s renewable energy sector and emphasized the urgent need for supportive fiscal and policy measures. Key recommendations focused on reducing import duties on renewable energy components, ensuring tax incentives, and creating a more enabling environment to accelerate clean energy adoption.

BSREA also underscored the importance of aligning national budget priorities with Bangladesh’s long-term energy security and sustainability goals. Strengthening the renewable energy ecosystem, encouraging local industry growth, and attracting investment were central to the discussion.

We appreciate the opportunity to engage with NBR and other stakeholders, and we remain committed to working collaboratively to drive Bangladesh’s transition toward a sustainable and resilient energy future.
