BSREA participated in the Multi-Stakeholder Policy Dialogue on Renewable Energy Transition & Decarbonisation in Bangladesh’s RMG sector, held on 31 March 2026 at Lakeshore Grand, Dhaka.
The dialogue convened key stakeholders from government, the RMG industry, financial institutions, development partners, and civil society to discuss actionable strategies for accelerating renewable energy adoption. The focus was on developing practical policy frameworks, investment mechanisms, and collaborative approaches to ensure a sustainable and competitive future for the sector.
During the discussion, BSREA emphasized that strong political commitment, clear regulatory frameworks, and stable policies are critical to enabling large-scale renewable energy deployment. The association also highlighted the growing urgency driven by international compliance requirements, which are making renewable energy adoption essential for maintaining global market access.
BSREA further underscored the importance of investment-friendly policies, access to green financing, and public-private partnerships to overcome existing barriers. The dialogue reinforced that a coordinated approach—aligning policy, investment, and implementation—is key to achieving a successful energy transition in Bangladesh’s RMG sector.
